Hello, Mirriam, I am confused, I gave you the correct phone number for my home telephone, and have had no calls. So I don't know what your lawyer is doing, can you trust him.
I also saw your passport. Is it a bad fake or badly photo retouched, the only reason I ask is because I am a graphic artist, and it looks like all the bold copy has been added.
Is someone in the Nigerian government forcing you to do this?
I'll tell you my reasons for why I think the passport is not real.
1/. I opened the image in photoshop and the pixels Behind you name and other details are lighter than the rest of the page indicating someone did a bad airbrush job on removing the original document.
2/. The tonal values of the the text with your name on it range from 56% to 89% black. The text in other sections range from 26% black to 65% black indicating copy was added to the original passport then re scanned.
[Hey why help these guys out?]
3/. To the right of the date of expiry is a little black mark where the original copy wasn't properly cleaned away.
4/. There is also a different tone of green behind the words in that section.
6/. The number of the passport has been changed on one of the pages. A 5 clumsily switched to an 8.
7/. There is a difference in the sharpness of your signature and all the added bits to the rest of the passport. If it was real everything would be blurred to the same extent.

I have a passport, but even if I sent you a scan of it would you believe it was real? believe me, I could make a far better copy than you did if I wanted to. I do not trust these kind of documents they leave room for doubt.

As for the trunks full of "cash" I did some math, and blew up the image of the money, What I saw was as follows:
1/. The money dumped in "random" in the 2 trunks all show up heads, the chance of that happening is billions to one. I think they might be forgeries.
[Arrgghhh, let's not help them out too much! ]
2/. I calculated the size of the $100 notes and for the amount of money you say you have you would need crates bigger than the ones you have. (please re-scan your photographs at a higher resolution so I can see if the serial numbers are different on each bill).
When you add these suspicions to the passport forgery and I am getting very suspicious.
In good faith on your side I think you should send me one of your $100 bills to prove that it is real. I want to believe you, but I have the nagging feeling that you are tricking me. I hope I am wrong. I pray to the good lord Jesus Christ that you are being honest with me.

I also doubt he is a barrister, are you sure you can trust him. I noticed 3 spelling mistakes and a couple of omissions of words in his letter and this is unusually sloppy for a law firm.
Also what is all the stuff in the second paragraph about a report, no one has asked me for account details.
And why does he think I am so rich. I'm not rich, I'm a graphic artist and only earn 12 500 British pounds a year, and anyone who knows anything knows how expensive living in London is.

I was born in Benoni a suburb near Johannesburg. My father worked for De Beers diamond company but he died in a mine accident when I was 5 years old. My mother worked for BBD&O as an Account Director. My mother, step father and two step sisters came to England when I was 18. I am 21 years old. I work as a graphic artist for J. Walter Thompson. I live and work in London, England. I am a devout 7th Day Adventist.
I am not 'Bill Gates' or even 'Becks and Posh Spice' rich, but I did come into some money when my Fathers wealthy brother (who lived in Nigeria) sadly passed away Uncle Igor never married he wasn't physically beautiful, he had a large hump on his back, one leg was 5 inches shorter than the other, and his facial features were distorted, but he was very clever with money, and I was his only direct blood relative.
He left me with some money in England which was put in a trust fund. I can withdraw a percentage of it on my Birthdays. The balance of his estate is stuck in Nigeria and is being looked after by my good friend Mariam Abacha. She is like a second mother to me. You sign off your letters with 2 names the first being Barrister Abu Waziri and the other Barrister Gorge.O.Dimba!
I am very concerned that you are not the real deal. Before I pass my suspicions on to my Client Miss Latitia Garnet I want you to explain yourself. Miss Garnet came to me asking for my advice on how to transfer a large sum of US currency and when I asked her to explain what transpired she forwarded me all your e-mails.
I have never seen anything so slipshod from a legal company in my 25 years at the bank. Your totally inappropriate use of words, in one of your letters you even had the unmitigated familiarity to addressed your Client as 'Princess'!
Your letters are laced with bad English, and spelling, and together with your schoolboy grammar I saw nothing to convince me you are the real thing. No Law Company is so slipshod!
Before Miss Garnet goes any further I want to be convinced of your legality.
I want to see your LLB Certificate.
Your Business letterhead, business card etc.
A page from your last fiscal audit.
Three (3) reference letters from any of your Corporate Clients on their letterheads.
I also saw the photographs that you sent Miss Garnet, and frankly they could be taken anywhere. I want to see a photograph of you in front of your desk in your office. Surely that should be easy enough. I give you 24 hours to comply to my requests or I will take the matter further.

Do not get into a pissing match with me, you will come off second best.

I am representing the interests of my client, Latetia Garnet. At her request.
Manners have nothing whatsoever to do with the issue at hand. It is simply business procedure and how we work in Civilized countries. All I want is to see proof that you are whom you say you are. A bona-fide member of the legal community.
I doubt that you are though. A Barrister of any standing would be used to the requests contained in my previous letter and respond to them. They would not get defensive.
My Client has mentioned the transfer of a sum of many millions of US dollars. Give me the name and codes of the Bank where the money is deposited presently, I also want the name and contact numbers of Bank Manager that you deal with at that establishment. I also want a letter from him saying he knows you and has had dealings with you in the past.
You do not need to know my clients account details I will only deal with the Manager of the Bank involved.
If you think I am going to allow my client, an inexperienced 21 year old girl, to give you her Banking details over the Internet you are either the most incompetent lawyer I have ever heard of or an out and out conman. Now what is it.
I repeat, just so you understand where you stand. You have supplied nothing, other than a pair of very dubious photographs that - as I said in my previous letter - do not do anything to gain my trust or belief in you.
By your reaction to my simple requests I'm inclined to believe you are trying trying to set my Client up in some underhand way.
If you do not supply me with full answers to my requested questions contained in this and my previous letter I will be forced to pass all the information I have to date to the Nigerian Police Fraud Squad, Interpol and The Scotland Yard Fraud Squad.

I have been in touch with your good barrister, again I doubt him, he called me "my dear Princess" on one of his letters. Very un"lawyer" like behavior, so I am getting him to deal with my banker in the Channel Islands. If anyone can sniff out a fraud it is Mr Stein.

These idiots contacted me on my work address and I set up Lay as a figment of my imagination. I sent them fake passports and photographs.
I was onto them from the start, and as you were saying, it looks like I scared them off, they haven't written to me since I set my bank manager on to them and threatened them with the law.
It's a great pity because they caused a lot of fun at my work.
I have had these 419 scammers come onto me a few times and it is fun to make fools of them, I was just checking with you to see if you were ok, I appreciate you taking the time to warn me, it's great to see there are honest people in Nigeria. The fraud guys are doing a lot to damage a proud country's reputation.

As you know my time is valuable, and I am often not in the office so if they want to contact me it would probably be easiest via my e-mail.
If your friends need help with their money I can easily do that. All I need is their Bank details, get them to send me their Banks codes, the name of the Bank and the name of their Bank Manager and I can open an account in their name and safely wire transfer it to that account here.
If that is not an option they can get their bank to transfer the money into Negotiable Bearer Bonds. Which would be easy to carry in something the size of a handbag.
Now as to our other "friend" the dubious Abu Waziri. Well, I heard back from my friend in the Nigerian Police Department, he is rather high up in the pecking order of things now. He is Deputy Inspector General Laraban. He's in charge of Investigation and Intelligence over there.
He told me that they know about Waziri and have been tracking that particular criminal gang (yes, I'm afraid there is more than one person involved) for a while now. They are well known for their involvement with Advanced Fee Fraud. The Police are carefully building a case against them. Your letters will go a long way to putting them behind bars.
