(PROJECT/2006/PWM/M.MUDUO-INVESTMENT)

Dear Beloved in christ,

Please permit me to inform you of my situation here in Cote D'Ivoire. I am Maria Rose Muduo. The daughter of late Chief and Mrs. Alaine Muduo JP. My father was a very wealthy GOLD and COCOA merchant who based in Accra, Ghana and Abidjan the economic capital of Cote D'Ivoire respectively.

His business associate on one of their business outings poisoned him to death. While my mother died on the 21ST October 1994, my father took me so special because I am the only child.

Before the death of my father on the 29th November 2000 in a private hospital here in Abidjan, He sincerely called me on his bedside and told me that he had a sum of US$10,500,000 (TEN MILLION FIVE HOUNDRED THOUSAND U.S DOLLARS) kept in a security company here in my country. He also told me that the security company does not know the content of the Trunk Box been deposited in the company. I am the next of kin to the funds.

He explained to me that it was because of this wealth that he was poisoned by his business associates that I should be careful, And seek for a foreign partner in a country of my choice where I will transfer this money and use it for investment purposes and further my education, I want you to assist me in clearing this fund and transfer it to your country and to also stand as the beneficiary of the fund.

My interested areas of investment are; REAL ESTATE, HOTELS, PETROLUM INDUSTRY & MINING, TRANSPORT or in any good investment you may advise me on.

I am honorably seeking for your assistance in the following ways.

(1) To assist me to clear this fund from the security company and transfer to your country successfully.
(2) To send me your identification so that I will know you.
(3) To serve as the guardian of this fund since I am a student with no business experience.
(4) To make arrangement for me to come over to your country to further my Education

Moreover, I am willing to offer you 20% of the total sum as compensation for your effort /input after the successful transfer of this fund to your country. Furthermore, you can indicate your option towards assisting me, as I believe that this transaction would be concluded within 14 days, from the day you signify interest to assist me.

Waiting to hear from you soonest.
May God bless you and your family.

Yours Truly,
Maria Rose Muduo

Dear Maria Rose Muduo,

I am in receipt of your scam email and contents are well understood. My name is Weiner Crumbley and I work part-time as a bartender at Mo Bingo's bar here in Chicago. I have recently started a counseling service for the rehabilitation of 419 scammers like yourself and I am here to offer you this opportunity to take part.

I use a proprietary computer program that to date has been quite accurate in it's analysis of the 419er mentality and assessment of potential. I have fed your data into the program and you will find the results below.

Scammer Profile
Posing as:Maria Rose Muduo
Modality Classification:Daughter of M.R.C.M. (Murdered Rich Cocoa Merchant, See Category Specifics)
Purported Profession:Student
Purported 'Value of Transaction':$10,500,000.00
Real Value of Transaction:$0.00
Percentage offered:20%
Is a 'Barrister' Required?:Probably
Are Modalities 100% Risk-Free?:Not Stated
Is a 'Security Company' Involved?: Yes

Category Specifics
Number of Siblings:0
Was Scammer 'taken so special'?: Yes
Business Experience? No
Is Scammer Posing as a Woman? :Yes

My Subjective Evaluation
Scammer's Writing Ability (1 - 10): 4
Scammer's Apparent Grasp of Reality (1-10): 2

Program Analysis Output
1. Scammer posing as Maria Rose Muduo most likely delusional in thinking that people actually believe his/her assertions of being a Daughter of M.R.C.M. (Murdered Rich Cocoa Merchant)
2. Scammer apparently has too much free time at his/her disposal to spend in internet cafes. Other diversions/hobbies or possible real employment suggested.
3. Based on Scammer Profile and Subjective Evaluation, most suitable profession(s) for scammer would be:
Code 0019 - Department Store Mannequin
Code 0109 - Goatherd

So there you have it, Maria Rose Muduo, a choice of honorable professions that, based on my input, would be more than suitable for you. My own suggestion would be to go with Code 0019 as this would require less thought on your part.

If you have any questions about any of the above or require further assistance, please feel free to contact me at:
Mo Bingo's bar at 1-(312)xxx-xxxx or my email address which you already have. I look forward to hearing from you again.

Remain blessed,
Weiner Crumbley

Hello Weiner,

Thank you for your mail; The content is well noted by me. I am here to let you know that I am out for real and not what you are taking me to be. The only way you can found out if what I am telling you is the truth is for you to try and make an arrangement in visiting my country so that you and I can meet and go to the Security Company for verification. I know it will be hard for you to believe me seems you don't know me in person and we have not met before. I also want you to know that Scam is everywhere in the world so don't take everyone to be scam.

I am attaching one of my photo for you to know me and I will be the one to pick you up at the Air Port the day of your arrival to my country.

Thanks ones more for your mail.

Yours Sincerely,
Ms Maria Rose Mudou.

Maria,

I can tell you right off the bat that you are the type of girl that I find overwhelmingly attractive. Not only your appearance (you be hot, mama!) but your perseverance. I truly admire that in a woman. You are definitely someone I would like to get to know better.

I could see a possible visit to Cote D'Ivoire in the future but I think before I do so we need to get to know each other a little better. I have to be honest with you, I have strong doubts about there being any $10,500,000. This would be one of those things that is just too good to be true, a beautiful woman with that much money. But I've never been interested in a woman just for her money or lack thereof.

Why don't we take a little time to get to know each other and see what happens.

Hope to hear back from you.

Subject: Our profile and your impression

Hello Weiner,

Thank you very much for your email, the content was well taken note of. However, I must I admit that I admire your eloquent way of writing and I embrace the need for us to know each other better.

Before we go any further, I would like to reiterate the need for us to keep the transaction very confidential until we have completely worked out details concerning the transfer as you can never predict who might be against your success in life.

Also allow me to express my gratitude over your continuous interest to be of a greater assistants towards assisting me realize the transaction. Let me stress that the impression you have about the non existence of the funds is far beyond the reality and our intentions. We contacted you so we could work together with one mind and as one family to achieve our desire of relocating to your country and transferring our inheritance to be invested for our mutual benefits.

I understand your sceptism and the negative notions that may be exercising, most especially the fact that we have not met but I can assure you that our proposal was made out to you in good faith and I am ready to proof this if only you can give us the opportunity of working with you.

As you have requested, bellow are little info about our profile.

I live in Cote d'Ivoire with my Younger brother called George, we hail from Sierra-leone in West Africa. I am 25yrs of age unmarried while my brother is 23; we are both undergraduate, we were in the University studying business administration when our parents died and since then we had ceased attending courses due to family problems and as a result of the sudden death of our parents which affected us immensely. Though, We do intend continuing our education once in your country with your help. My hobbies are watching movies, reading and sports.

Having highlighted the above, I now await your response with some profile about yourself, so we can continue.

Maria,

It was so good to find your email this morning and it was nice to learn a little more about you.

I have to be honest with you - I am still quite sceptical about the existence of your $10.5 million for several reasons. First of all, why would you pick me to help you? You know nothing about me. How did you even get my email address?

Secondly, you told me in your first email that you were an only child and now you say that you have a younger brother. Had you forgotten you had a younger brother? At 23 he has to be a big kid, difficult not to notice. Which is the truth?

Like I told you before, I find you very attractive in all ways, and I'm here to help you. I just want you to be completely honest with me.

Hello Weiner,

Many thanks for your email but please accept my apologies for the late response, as you know saturdays and sundays are weekends here as a result businesses are shutdown which make it impossible to find an internet cafe to access emails and respond.

First of all, I wish to declare that I am a very sincere and straightforward person and whatever I tell you in my emails are justifiable. However, to proof all that I have been telling you about the existence of the funds, I would be most honoured if you could make arrangement to come to Abidjan so we could meet and you see things yourself; by so doing you would have the opportunity of being in the picture of all the formalities that will be undergone towards releasing and transfering of the funds to your account in Your country.

Let me clarify that I am not the only child of late parents but the only Daughter, we are 2 in number born from the same parents. If such must have been mentioned in my first email consider it as a gramitical error on my part and I sincerely apologise for this gross mistake.

Per the issue of source of your contact, Please be informed that your contact was divulged to me from the Ivorian chamber of commerce and internet industry following my zeal to look for someone to entrust this funds into his or her care for good manegement and also help us relocate to a country condusive enough to continue our education. Although your contact was not the only contact that I was able to secure but above all the 5 contacts that I had, you where the one our hearth went for after much prayers with my brother for God to direct us to a loving, kind and soft minded person who would Voluntarily help us in bringing this transaction to fruition and as GOD may have it you responded, which I may qualify biblically as a divine connection.

Having expressed the above, I request that you let me know your stance towards helping us so we can be focused as to the directions to follow.

Maria, my love, it was so good to find something from you in my inbox this morning. With every letter I grow more fascinated with you. I just can't tell you how attractive the quality of tenacity in a woman is to me. I find it much more attractive than physical beauty, which, however, you also possess in abundance.

A trip to Abidjan is not outside the realm of possibility but it would be nice if I could see some kind of evidence that this $10.5 million actually exists before I start booking tickets. I mean, that's a big expense to come all the way to Africa, especially if there's no money. You understand that you still haven't shown me anything to really convince me that this isn't just another 419 scam in the making.

Not that it makes a difference. You mentioned that we have a divine connection. Well, I have my own ideas about divinely connecting because it's you that I'm most interested in, not your money. If you confessed tomorrow that, yeah, it was just a scam attempt, there's no money, I'd STILL consider coming to Abidjan, just to see you. Gotta admit, though, twenty percent of $10.5 million would really sweeten the deal.

Do you have any more pictures you can send?

Weiner

THE CONTINUATION!

Maria Rose Muduo

Wed, 20 Sep 2006

Hello Weiner,

I do not know how to express the joy in me knowing how you feel about me, well I am looking forward to the day we shall finally meet.

As I have told you time and again, I am very serious with the propositions that I made out to you and I did it with all sincerity from the bottom of my heart.

Well, if 20% is what you want out of the funds that is ok by me provided you will help me. I do not know the kind of proof that would satisfy you but if you would mind, I can send you a copy of the deposit agreement entered by my late father with the security company where the box of the funds has since been deposited for safekeeping, although money was not mentioned in the agreement for security reasons.

So please let me know if this is o.k by you so I can send it for your kind perusal.

I hope to hear back from you.
With Love
Maria

Dearest Maria,

Things are quiet here in the bar this morning. It's 7:00am, the regulars who come in for their morning eye-openers have left and we won't be very busy from now until lunch.

I think a copy of the assignment agreement with the security company would go a long way toward convincing me that this money exists. I remember from your first email you said that the security company does not know what is in the trunk box your father left there, but the security agreement would definitely prove that you have SOMETHING deposited there.

As far as the 20% goes, like I said before, that's not as important to me as you are. I don't care that you are a scammer, I have searched all my life for the woman who knows what she wants and lets absolutely nothing stop her from getting it. You are that woman, my love. That money means nothing to me, NOTHING, I SAY!

So 20% will be fine.

I look forward to your next letter.

Potentially yours,
Weiner

Now that I've found you I don't want to lose you. Please write to me.

Absolutely yours,

Hello Weiner,

I am sorry for getting back to you very late, as a matter of fact I have not been feeling to fine, beside; I was looking for a good place to scan the document to be forwarded to you. However, attached herewith is the copy of the deposit agreement as entered by my late father with the security company where the box of the funds has since been deposited.

I do hope that this meets your demand.

Wishing you well with lots of love.

Maria

September 26, 2006

Maria, my love,

I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well and I certainly hope it's nothing more serious than a late summer cold. I wish I were there to take care of you.

I checked out the deposit agreement yu sent. By the way, love, I didn't 'demand' that you send it, I only suggested that it might help convince me that the money actually exists. Anyhow, it certainly seems that you do indeed have something deposited there.

The bad news is that, by my calculation, you owe in the neighborhood of $126,800 to that security company and that's increasing by $50 per day! Your dad must have been pretty buzzed on something when he made this deal. How do you figure we're going to be able to pay that off? And are you quite certain that your father said there was cash in the box? I'd hate to think of paying that much money only to discover that it was his collection of old Penthouse magazines.

What do you think we should do about this? How should we handle it?

With love,
Weiner

Tue, 26 Sep 2006

Hello Weiner,

Many thanks for your email. I have demanded severally for your telephone number to place a call to you but you have been blunt over sending this. I do not know the reason but whatever be the reason I need a phone number to get intouch with you and to talk things over.

Let me stress that your calculations about the demurrage fees were correct but the outstanding demurrage fees is not up to that amount you have calculated following some payments we made in the past, I will make my calcultions and inform you of the exact amount owed

In the meantime, let us concentrate on your coming over. Now that I have sent you a document confirming this deposit even if you still have some doubts over the content of the box which I believe I will one day have the opportunity of proofing to you; I will appreciate that you kindly tell me what your next plans are towards coming over to Abidjan to assist me as described in the past.

This is a very essential part of this transaction that I need you to comment on so I would know where we are.

I hope to receive your email with a specific plan.

Wishing you well
Maria

September 27, 2006

Dearest Maria,

So good to hear from you today, my love. I hope you are feeling better.

I have to admit that I'm a little bit disappointed. Having fallen hopelessly in love over this thing, I have been hoping to hear some indication that the same thing is happening to you. You see, this is why I can't completely erase from my mind that this whole thing might be a scam. All you talk about in your emails is this trunk and the security company. What about us, Maria? Do you have any interest at all there? As I told you before, I'm more interested in you than your money. I want to help you but I want to see a future in this.

Let me know when you figure out how much you still owe to the security company and we'll figure out where we go from there.

Maria, I'm certain you've never asked me for my phone number before. I just moved to a different apartment and they haven't come around to hook up the phone yet. There is a phone here at the bar but Mo gets furious if I use it for personal calls. There is a pay phone outside and if you tell me what time you'll be calling I can try to be there waiting. The number is xxx-xxx-xxxx.

With love,
Weiner

Wed, 27 Sep 2006

Hello Weiner,

Many thanks for your email, the content was well noted.

First of I have to admit that you do not expect me to fall in love with someone I have not seen, my education does not permit me to act that way, although I am delighted knowing that you are in love with me and I thank you for such that. I hope you will be able to proof your love for me as we fudge ahead towards unfolding my transaction.

I find it very strange that at this modern age where mobile phones are so common that you can not afford to get yourself one. Well, you can call me if you may so desire at +225-07421063 if I am not there you will find my brother George.

I respect your words that you are not interrested in my money but in me. For me; until I meet you to know whom you are I will not say anything about that for now. I would rather focus my mind towards the reason of making the first contact with you

Please let me know your plans towards helping me in my demand, the love story is a secondary issue that can be discussed in the later part of our correspondences though this does not mean I hate you but please respect my feelings and womanhood.

I will now wait to know your plans towards helping me.
Maria

[This is a labor of love. No love, no labor...]

Weiner Crumbley

September 28, 2006

Dearest Maria,

From the tone of your email I get the strong impression that you have no interest in a future for us and that once you recover your trunk that you will disappear from my life. I have made it no secret that I was only in this for you. You are the type of woman I have searched for all my life and now I'm told that your interests lie elsewhere. Is there another man in your life? Is that it?

I think the only logical thing is for you to find someone else to help you, someone who is ONLY interested in taking 20% of your money. I don't think that a rich, beautiful, educated woman like yourself will have any problem finding a replacement.

So I wish you the best of luck and a very good life. Ah, what could have been.

Always yours,
Weiner.

Maria Rose Muduo

Thu, 28 Sep 2006

Hello Weiner

I am surprise that you would react angrily to my email as if I was rude and disrespectful to you. You have sounded very educated and matured in the past but I am doubtful if this current email was written by you because it does show any sign of responsibility and good way of reasoning. I am sorry to say this but this is the conclusion I have been draw taking a look at your email.

Look at it in another perspective; I have not seen you to know how you look like. I donŐt even know if you have the characteristics of a Man that I would love to pass the rest of my life with. You know nothing about me, what I like and hate but you are in love with me simply because of my photograph that you have seen

There is no other Man in my life but let us take it from the real aspect of life and let us face the reality. However, In consideration of your reactions, I am even in doubts if actually all the expressions about your feelings for me were even sincere. The telephone number that you gave is for what country?

I hope to hear from you.
Maria

Weiner Crumbley

September 29, 2006

Dear Maria,

You have got things so wrong! There was no anger in my last email to you!

Let me say first of all that your photograph had nothing to do with me falling in love with you. As far as I'm concerned it is only coincidental that you are a definite hottie. No, the thing that sent me over the edge was when I told you I knew you were a scammer you kept coming back. You are a woman who sees what she want and lets nothing stop her from getting it. This is such a rare quality in a woman these days and this is what attracted me to you.

Because you doubt my sincerity is just one more reason we should go our separate ways. Someday maybe you'll realize that here was a man willing to give up 20% of $10.5 million just to prove the way he felt about you.

Maria, you need a man who is only interested in getting your money. As a therapist I regognize the fact that some women need men who are only interested in sponging off them, and you are probably one of these women.

Because you deny me a future with you I really don't have the heart to continue with this and I wish you the best of luck in retrieving your father's money.

I will always remember you.
Weiner

ps - the telephone number I gave you is in the USA, Chicago to be exact.

Maria Rose Muduo

Sat, 30 Sep 2006

Hello Weiner,

Thanks for your email, the content was well noted.

Being in doubts is not an insult, you doubted my sincerity about the transaction but I did not run away just as you said rather I stood up by providing you some evidence about the deposit. So in your own turn, you should be able to proof to me that your feelings about me were sincere instead of shying away because by running away makes it more and more complicated.

Those qualities that you saw in me, that made me so attractive before you is still intact and I believe you can still have me depending on your comportment. Except if you were not sincere with your expressions.

So the ball is in your court my Dear.

By the way the U.S number you provided is not functional to talk about ringing. You have to check out.

Maria

[Ok, that's better. I still have a shot at her...]

Maria,

I am encouraged by your words and I have decided to go along a little longer and see what develops. As we go forward please remember that mine is a delicate spirit, eager for love, easily wounded. YOU are the reason I'm staying, not your money.

Ok, you never really expained what why you want me to come to Abidjan and what I'm supposed to do when I get there. Let's try and put a plan together and we can figure out a timeline to get this finished. Tell me what you want me to do.

Maria Rose Muduo

Mon, 2 Oct 2006

Hello Weiner,

Many thanks for your email, I am most honoured to learn that you have decided to revert your decision and assist me further to realize my goal.

Before we would continue, can you please advice the best telephone number to reach you, this is very important. Alternatively you can call me at +225-07421063 anytime, there are issues I need to sort out with you.

Please get back.

Maria,

I sent you a number where I can be reached at but you have to let me know what time you will call so I can be there. The phone is around the corner from the bar and I can't hear it from here.

You still haven't told me what I'm supposed to do when I come there to Abidjan.

Weiner

Maria Rose Muduo

Wed, 4 Oct 2006

Weiner,

That phone number that you gave me is not a working number; I have tried it time again to no avail. Irrespective of that, I do not know the time differences between my country and yours, I would appreciate if you could call me at any given time, my phone is always with me even on bed.

Beside, I am truly baffled that at this modern age were mobile phones are very cheap and so popular you can not afford to get yourself one rather you depend on other people's phone to receive your calls. This leaves me with some questioning about your claims

Talking about what we are suppose to do when you arrive in Abidjan, bellow is a vivid description of what our operation will look like when you finally arrive.

Note that upon your arrival, we shall go straight to a prime bank where I have made the necessary arrangement to establish the required account for the depositing of the funds. Upon opening the bank account and account numbers allocated, we shall move straight to the security company to complete the formalities necessary to release the consignment containing the funds. Upon the release of the consignment containing the funds, we shall move back to the bank for the depositing of the funds and transfer thereafter to your account.

I hope to hear from back from you most importantly the issue of a phone number to reach you.

Maria

Weiner Crumbley

October 5, 2006

Maria,

I have never understood you people who feel you have to constantly be next to a telephone. Mobile phones are an addiction, worse than heroin. I had three mobile phones and I was always having to answer the damn things. People were calling me at work, all hours of the night, even when I was sitting on the crapper. Two of them were stolen from me and I threw the other away. Just not worth the bother. When we get to a point where it is absolutely necessary to talk, I will call you.

Now, you still haven't told me what I'm going to be doing in Abidjan. You don't need me to open a bank account and you don't need me to go to the security company to pick up the box, unless it's just to help you carry it. It sounds like this whole thing can be finished in an hour or two. What am I going to do while all this is happening? Why don't you just transfer the money to me and then fly here to Chicago? We can get you a 3-month visa and we'll see how we get along.

Love,
Weiner

So what's the plan?

Mon, 9 Oct 2006

Hello Weiner,

I understand your explanations about the mobile phones because it is not a everybody that like having mobile phone but why is it that the telephone number you gave is not functioning?

In my last email, I took my time to explain what we shall be doing while you will be on ground here. Beside, it is not compulsory that we must exhaust the 3 days I have setforth for us to accomplish the transaction, the time needed might be shorter or longer so the 3days should be programmed in our minds if in the event it takes shorter time morethan expected better for us.

I would need that you tell me if you are coming or not.

Can you send me your photograph?
Maria

Weiner Crumbley

October 10, 2006

Dearest Maria,

I really can't explain why the number I gave you doesn't work. Let me see if I can find another number closeby.

Maria, of course I want to come there to see you. I understand that you explained to me what has to be done while I am there but you did not explain why you need me to be there when this is happening. For you to open an account and transfer the money does not require my presence in Abidjan, does it? I just don't see what my involvement is. You really need to explain this better.

I've already started looking at flight schedules and it's really not difficult to get there. Let me know what I have to do and I'll set up the flights.

I'll see if I can find a picture this afternoon to send you.

All my love,
Weiner

Maria Rose Muduo

Wed, 11 Oct 2006

Hello Weiner,

I gave you time to see if you can look for the photograph I asked but you did not bother to send it. Reason I do not know.

Inview of the the fact that we have not met in the past and we are talking about a huge of money which I have the desire of entrusting in your care for proper management; it is very important that we meet to know each other. Beside, we do not have in Africa online system of banking, all the banks that I have met needs your presence to sign the hard copies of the account opening form. Please look into this and let me know if you can come.

Per the issue of the flights, you can check with Air France, this is an airline that come here on daily basis.

I hope you will send me the photograph when next you email me.

Yours Truly,
Maria

Weiner Crumbley

October 12, 2006

Maria, my love,

Here's the picture I found. It was taken ealier this year so I still look the same.

I'm still a little confused on my role in this deal. I presume you're opening an account in your name, right? Once you have the money in your account then all you have to do is transfer it to mine here in the US, right? And I'm surprised you don't already have an account. With your parents as wealthy as they were, I'm sure they left you in pretty good shape.

I'll talk to my boss Mo today and see when he'll let me take some vacation time. Where should I plan on staying while I'm there? A hotel? Your place? You're gonna stay with me, right?

Ok, gotta get back to work.

Love, Weiner

Maria Rose Muduo

Fri, 13 Oct 2006

Hello Weiner.

Thanks for the photograph.

I told you that because of my refugee status, I am not allowed to participate in any baking operation. This is the reason I have requested that you come to assist me in the opening of a bank account in your name where the money will be deposited and from that account the funds can be transfered to your account.

Now I would need that you let me know if you are coming or not. Also do take note that time is of essence considering the daily demurrage charges we spoke about in the past.

Whoa! What's this about refugee status?? You never mentioned a word about being a refugee. You're from Abidjan so how can you be a refugee in Abidjan? Refugee from what?

Of course I want to come there but I have to consider my job here, too. I can't just take off for two weeks without working it into the schedule here at the bar. My boss has been out of town the past couple of days and as soon as he gets back I'll make the arrangements with him.

Punkin, you never did tell me how much this demurage is going to be. Do you have enough money to cover it or do you want me to help?

Yours forever,
Weiner

Hello Weiner,

I told you I was from Abidjan because I was writing from here. If not I am a national of Sierra-leone in West Africa.I refer you to my mail of 15th September 2006 where I gave you my profile

I came in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire under the auspices of the United Nation following the prevailing political upheaval in my country sierra-leone. Although my parents were already here.

Frankly speaking, I am still concerned as to the reason of not having a phone number to reach you atleast to be assured of whom I am dealing. Regardless of this, I would need that you really confirm your ability to come and if not possible we can find other means, I was in one of the banks here on Friday where I made an inquiry about opening an account on your behalf and they said it was possible but with the help of an attorney here whom we shall appoint to sign the necessary document on your behalf.

If this is o.k with you may be we can try doing it using an attorney that I was refered to by the bank to work out the formalties.

Per the issue of the demurrage charges, we have an outstanding demurrage fee of $21,000 following the previous payments we made in the past. We would be delighted if you can help us in this depending on your capability Meanwhile let us know if using the attorney is o.k by you so I can forward you their contact details.

Maria,

I have been doing some research over the past couple of days and I have some good news. I talked to my banker, who made some phone calls, and he tells me that you can easily get everything done at the Central Bank of Nigeria. He said that his contact told him that there is nothing in Nigerian law that says someone with refugee status cannot open a bank account. He said there have been plenty of refugees in Nigeria fleeing strife in their own countries, and some of them are quite wealthy. If you want I'll see if I can get you a name at the bank.

Maria, my love, you never really said what you want to do once you get your money. Do you intend to stay in Abidjan or do you want to come here?

I wait to hear from you.
Weiner

[I realized after I sent this that I may have screwed up. Maria is in Cote de Ivoire, not Nigeria...]

Weiner,

I am not in Nigeria and I do not know how you want that organized. Please explain better. Also, I will be needing some financial assistance$12,000 to compete the demurrage charges which will be giving back to you on release of the box of the funds.

Please get back.

Weiner Crumbley

October 19, 2006

Dearest Maria,

No, love, I know you're not in Nigeria but you guys are all part of some big organization, aren't you? I just assumed the laws were all the same between the countries.

$12,000 is a lot of money for demurage. Not to knock your old man but it really wasn't very bright of him to stick his money in that place without being sure that you had enough money to get it out when the time came. I also have not seen any real evidence that all this money exists. Do you have a copy of the agreement between your father and the security company that you can send me? Not that I doubt your word for a second, I'm just naturally a suspicious person when it comes to rich daughters of murdered cocoa merchants

Waiting to hear from you.

All my love,
Weiner

[Nice recovery, but I forgot that Maria had already sent the security company agreement...]

Hello Weiner

I am confused as to this statement " you guys are all part of some big organization" please clarify this for my understanding.

Unfortunately I have sent you copy of the deposit agreement in the past please refer to my mail of 25th September where I sent you copy of the deposit agreement and you responded given the calculation.

Maria.

Darling Maria,

I don't read the newspapers or watch TV news very much but I've heard that there are these big organizations of African countries, something like OMPEDEC or DOOFADEC or NFL or something like that. Haven't you ever heard of these?

Yeah, now I remember, you did send the agreement. I don't know where my head is sometimes. Just too much going on around this place for me to remember everything.

Maria, my love, I have told you before that your money means nothing to me. Even if this whole thing is a scam, and I'm pretty sure it is, it doesn't matter to me. I still want you.

You see, since you and I started corresponding I've had three more letters from daughters of murdered rich cocoa merchants, all with the same story. I know I'm supposed to send you $12,000 by Western Union and then you would either disappear or there would be some other fee or charge you would need money for, ad infinitum. Or if I came there you'd probably have 3 goons waiting to kidnap my ass and send my ear or my finger back to Mo's Bar in the hopes of receiving a ransom. Which, by the way, Mo would never pay. Hell, he'd probably ask you to send him my heart as proof you had me.

But none of this matters because I still want you and I'm here for you. Just tell me what you need. I don't know if I could come up with $12,000 all at one time but I would try to help you with what I could.

We have to be honest with each other if we're going to take this relationship to the next level. I wait to hear from you.

Weiner

Subject: how much can you raise?

Weiner,

I have never heard of any organization like OMPEDEC or NFL. I am still baffled why you still maintain contact with me regardless of you conviction that the transaction is a scam. What would you want to do with a Scammer like me.

Also why would invest your money on me when you are sure that everything is is fake? Anyway I am not sure that you will invest invest your money at all until you send the money and I confirm that I have it.

If you can help with the whole $12,000 how money can you raise to support the process?

Maria

Weiner Crumbley

October 24, 2006

Maria, my love, I thought you understood - it's you I want!

When I answered your first letter and let you know I knew it was a scam, you still came back. I can't tell you how much I admire that in a woman. You let nothing stand in your way and you are the kind of woman I have dreamed of meeting all my life.

That said, please don't refer to our relationship as a 'process'. That sounds so cold. We have fallen in love over this and I prefer to think of you as my 'significant other'. I want to take care of you, provide for you, have children with you, bring you breakfast in bed, do the dishes for you.
[Yeah, right...]

Ok, let's get the business part over with. Right now I have about $7,000 in the bank. I could come up with another $5,000 if I sell my car and my guitars but I know you don't want me to do that. You don't need the entire $12,000 all at once, do you?

And as long as we're talking business, what about what I want? How do we arrange for us to be together? I want your ideas on this because it has to be something that we are both working towards.

Let me tell you about a dream I have. You and I at our wedding reception, you dressed completely in white, me in a tuxedo and the two of us cutting a wedding cake with a big '419' etched in blue frosting. It's very symbolic of our love and how we found each other. Do you have the same dream?

My life for you,
Weiner

Hello Weiner,

Many thanks for your email.

To answer your question about your concern with the rest of our relation, note that once the funds are released and wholly transfered to your account, I will make arrangement to meet you wherever you are by so doing you will nolonger nurse the feelings that someone will kidnap you. On arrival in your station, we can discuss details about the rest of our relationships. I hope this sound good to your hearing

Since you said you have $7,000 in your bank account. Are you able to send $6,000? I will try to make up the balance. If you can; Please go ahead to send the $6,000 to me via western union money transfer on my name MARIA MUDUO, Using the following Address: Rue de Canal Zone 4 C, Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. I will confirm to you, once the funds are received.

Please get back

Dearest Maria,

As I have told you many times before, you have the qualities that I have been searching for in a woman all my life. You are not one of these common, wishy-washy, go-with-the-flow types, you go after what you want. However, the second-most important quality in a woman is her honesty. Our love will never last if we are not honest with each other.

I will give you your choice of two ways that we can proceed - if you continue to maintain that you have millions sitting in a security company, I will want much more proof of it's existence before I throw money at it and we can drag this thing out for another month. If we drop this 'transaction' crap and pledge complete and total honesty to each other, then I am willing to help you any way I can.

It's up to you, my love.

Subject: You have to come

Hello Weiner,

The only way I can proof the existence of the money is for you to come to see things yourself. So it is left for you to decide if coming or droping the file.

Yours truly
Maria

Weiner Crumbley

Maria, dearest,

In the interest of keeping my ears attached to my head and my fingers on my hands where they belong, I'm going to have to decline your offer to visit. Like I said, Mo is not going to pay any ransom to get me back. To the contrary, he would probably take great pleasure in receiving my body parts by FedEx, the larger the part the better.

Seeing as how you insist on maintaining this charade, I have an alternate proposal - how about we meet in a neutral location first? Maybe Spain or Portugal? We could get to know each other better, have a nice vacation and at that point I might be willing to go back to Abidjan with you. You would love Spain and it would give us some much-needed quality time together.

What do you say? Come to me, Maria.

Weiner

Hello Weiner,

As I told you I can not leave for any country leaving the funds behind as my eyes are on it to make sure they are well secured and not tampered with. so if I have to make such travel I would to arrange for the funds to be moved alongside with me. Moreover, I do not have my travel documents in place. When do you intend to be on vaccation? let me know So I could plan further.

Maria

October 27, 2006

Maria,

What are you worried about? You money, assuming there is money, is in a security company, yes? You don't have to be there to watch it. Come with me to Spain for a few weeks and if everything works out between us, we'll go back to Abidjan together.

Do this - go and get your passport renewed or whatever you have to do to travel, check on airline ticket prices to Malaga, and let me know how much it is. We can then set a date to meet there. I promise you, you'll feel like a new woman after a couple weeks relaxing in the sun, moonlight walks (and other things) along a deserted beach, an occasional nightclub. It would be great!

Please say you'll meet me.

Hello Weiner,

I have booked my Flight for Malaga Spain with Airfrance for on Friday the 10th of November 2006. The Airfare together with other related expenditures is about 1,950 Euro. I would be delighted meeting you but the problem I have is the necessary money to meet with this, although I know you promised helping.

Could you please help me with about 1,250 Euros, I will try on my own to make up the balance. The amount can be sent via western union money transfer on my name using the address I gave to you in the past.

I hope to hear from you.
Maria

Maria, my love,

I have no idea how to send Euros to you. I live in America and the currency we use is dollars. I'm sure I would have a problem working this out with Western Union.

Here's what I'll do - I'll go to the Air France office here in Chicago tomorrow and pay for your ticket. All you have to do is go pick it up the day after tomorrow.

I can't tell you how happy I am that we're finally going to meet, and in such a place as Spain! You're going to love it there, I promise you.

Forever yours,
Weiner

Maria Rose Muduo

Sun, 5 Nov 2006

Hello Weiner,

Thank you very much for accepting to take care of my travel expenses, Just for your information I would prefer that you send the money directly to me so I can pay for the ticket myself.

The reason for this, is because this is the first time I am traveling out of the country , I do not want to go with a prepaid ticket to be looked at by the airliners as someone incapable of taking care of his expenditures because the European AIRLINERS looked at Africans as people who can not take care of themselves .

To boost my status, I would need that you send me the money directly so I can purchase the ticket on my own and the receipt given issued on my name. Just for your information 1,250 Euros is equivalent to $1,590.

Send it tomorrow via western union money transfer on my names as follows: MARIA MUDUO, Using the following Address: Rue de Canal Zone 4 C, Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire I hope to receive the MTCN of the transfer.

Truly Yours
Maria

Weiner Crumbley

November 5, 2006

Maria, mayo solnichka,

What is this status thing? You're coming to meet me and I want people to know I'm providing for you and taking care of you. This has nothing to do with status, I want everyone to know that you are MY woman! Please do me this small favor and let me pay for the ticket. There is no dishonor here, we are only showing that you are worthy of a man willing to do anything for you. You will be the envy of every woman in Ivory Coast.

If you insist that you must pay for the ticket then of course I will send you the money but it would mean so much to me to do it myself. The customs here in America are diferent from those of Africa - it makes me appear as less than a capable provider if you pay yourself. You should try to become accustomed to me paying for everything. After all, if everything works out the way I hope it will you may well be Mrs. Crumbley soon and I will not allow you pay for anything ever again.

Let me know your final decision on this.

Love,
Weiner

Maria Rose Muduo

Mon, 6 Nov 2006

Hello Weiner,

Thanks for given me the opportunity to become Mrs. Crumbley, that I hope to be one day but please let us not argue over this issue of the ticket. Just send the money the way I have advised and we take it up from there.

Thanking you for your understanding.
Maria

November 8, 2006

Maria, dearest,

I have a confession to make. I wanted to surprise you by sending you the money AND I was going to go ahead and pay for your ticket. My plan was you would go to the airline office to pay for the ticket and you would find it was already taken care of. That way you'd have some extra travelling money.

So I went to the Air France office yesterday and told them that you have a reservation from Abidjan to Malaga and I wanted to pay for your ticket. They informed me that you have no reservation as you said you do.

What's going on, Maria? You told me you had already booked the flight.

Weiner

Maria Rose Muduo

Wed, 8 Nov 2006

Hello Weiner,

Please stop playing around, I have my reservation booked for Friday the 10th through a travel agent here in Abidjan and I need the money to pay for the ticket.

If you don't want to send the money simply say it and we forget it, my advice was that you send the money and not to purchase me a ticket. So I expect you to follow my advise if at all it is in your sincere desire to do so

Maria

November 9, 2006

Maria, my lover,

Ok, I sent the money ($1,600) to the address you gave me, Maria Muduo, Rue de Canal Zone 4 C, Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. I sent it last night so you should be able to pick it up anytime.

This was the first time I've ever used Western Union and it was much easier than I thought. The agent who was dealing with me was very kind and helpful It was funny, but she warned me about sending money to Ivory Coast because of the number of email scams being perpetrated from there. I told her I didn't care if it was a scam or not because I was in love with the scammer.

Please send me your flight number and arrival time in Malaga.

Yours always

Hello Weiner,

Please send me urgently the MONEY TRANSFER CONTROL NUMBER (MTCN) OF the transfer for immediate pick up.

November 11, 2006

My beautiful Maria,

I have been wrestling with how I was going to tell you this but I guess it's best if I just come out and say it - I'm afraid we can't see each other anymore.

You see, another scammer, Flora Jane Aruna, has come back into my life after being gone for eight months. Maybe you know her, she's also from Abidjan. I thought I was over her but what she and I had was just too strong. While my relationship with her is not as open as ours (she doesn't know yet that I know she's a scammer), I have hopes of her confessing it to me one day.

I will always remember fondly what you and I were to each other, and I will mourn for the wild, lust-filled holiday in Malaga that was not to be.

So goodbye, mi vida, and in parting let me say with truly genuine affection,

Fulk You.

Forever yours,
Weiner
